CAMDEN, Ark. (KTVE/KARD) — The City of Camden, Ark. experienced power outages due to falling trees in the Broadway and Austin areas. Residents are encouraged to take an alternate route until the cleanup is finished.
“I was standing in the living room and I heard cracking and popping then this happened. I’m just glad it didn’t hit anybody’s house or car,” explains Britteny, a resident who lives in the neighborhood.
Britteny expressed concern for the winter weather over the next few days that could cause more damage than what was seen Wednesday afternoon.
“I’m worried about the trees around my house,” said Britteny.
She feels it’s necessary to take extra precautions now before it’s too late.
“Just stocking up on food, blankets over windows to help hold heat, making sure water is dripping so it doesn’t freeze your pipes,” added Britteny.
