Weather Forecast- Wednesday, September 26th

(9/26/2018) Good Wednesday morning! It’s a mild and foggy start to the day, temperatures are sitting in the low to mid 70’s. It’s still a bit warm and humid, but an approaching cold front is going to cool us off and dry us out a bit for the next few days. Expect mostly cloudy to overcast skies throughout today along with showers and storms passing through along a cold front. The bulk of the rain will be along and south of I-20, with totals possible up to 2″ today. Some heavy rainfall could lead to localized flash flooding. Winds will shift from the northeast after the front passes by and temperatures will climb into the mid 80’s.

Overnight we will continue to see showers pass through, mostly south of I-20. Low temperatures will range from the lower 60’s in southern Arkansas to the lower 70’s through central Louisiana. Mid 60’s along I-20.

Tomorrow is when we begin to feel more comfortable as drier air filters into the ArkLaMiss. We will see dew points in the lower 50’s making it feel much nicer out, along with high temperatures staying in the 70’s. Skies will start out overcast but some gradual clearing during the afternoon will make for a nice day. Lingering showers should only stick around through the morning, drying out for the afternoon with winds from the northeast.
