Weather Forecast- Wednesday, August 2nd

Good Wednesday morning, it’s a soggy start to the morning across the ArkLaMiss and definitely worth grabbing the rain jacket or umbrella as you head out the door. Showers and storms will continue through the morning and begin to taper off this afternoon. Later today there will still be a chance for an isolated shower or two, but the bulk of the activity should rain itself out by lunchtime. Mostly cloudy skies will stick around and rain totals for today should average out around 0.25″-0.50″ with some locally higher amounts. The early rain will help keep temperatures at bay this afternoon, as we should top out in the mid 80’s. Winds are going to be out of the east.

Overnight there is a chance for a lingering shower or two, but mostly just clouds will stick around. Low temperatures will be nice and cool for early August, upper 60’s.

Tomorrow is looking a lot like today. Temperatures will likely warm up a bit more into the upper 80’s. Showers and storms will be scattered through the morning and the afternoon along with partly cloudy skies. Winds will be coming from the southeast. As a front approaches the ArkLaMiss we will see those rain chances climb into Friday and the weekend, as temperatures stay below normal for typically, the hottest time of the year.
