(5/2/2019) Good Thursday morning! It’s a rainy start for our neighbors out west across the ArkLaTex with strong showers and storms passing through. Areas in east Texas and SW Arkansas have been seeing strong to severe thunderstorms along with heavy rainfall and flash flooding. The good news for us is that the line of storms is weakening as it continues to inch closer, so our threat for strong storms won’t be as high. We’re still looking at scattered storms all day long along with a marginal risk for some isolated severe storms. Be sure to pack the rain jacket and umbrella! Highs will be in the 80’s with mostly cloudy skies and breezy winds from the south.
Overnight we could see a few lingering showers and storms as low temps only drop into the mid to upper 60’s with cloudy skies and light winds.
On Friday we will continue to see showers and storms in the forecast. It’ll be mostly cloudy through the day again with highs back in the 80’s. Our forecast remains unsettled and rainy through tomorrow and Saturday, before we eventually dry out and see sunshine and dry weather on Sunday!
