(1/3/2019) Good Thursday morning! It’s another rainy start to the day with widespread showers passing through northeast Louisiana. We’re expecting the forecast today to look a lot like yesterday- chilly, cloudy, and rainy! Temperatures are going to be in the 40’s all day long with persistent showers and winds form the northeast. Flash Flood Watches remain in effect throughout all of northeast Louisiana until Friday. Rain will become widespread again around lunchtime lasting through the afternoon. Most spots will likely see and additional 1-2″ of rainfall today.

Overnight the shower coverage will begin to decrease as drier air starts to move towards the coverage area. Skies will remain cloudy with winds from the west and low temperatures tomorrow will be in the lower 40’s again.

Friday’s forecast will finally show the rain chances drop out of the forecast. The morning will bring some patchy rain but after lunchtime all that moisture will be exiting the region and we will see the clouds break by the afternoon. Temperatures will top out in the lower 50’s with breezy winds from the west.

All the rain will be cleared out by this weekend as sunny skies and high’s in the 60’s return for Saturday and Sunday!
