Good Thursday morning! It’s a cold start to the day with temperatures in the upper 20’s and wind chills in the lower 30’s. If you’re heading out before sunrise, you may need a few extra minutes to scrape some frost off of the windshield. We’re looking at an excellent day in the forecast with highs in the mid 50’s, winds from the northeast, and sunny skies all afternoon. There will be no chance for rain today.
Overnight lows are going to fall into the mid to upper 30’s as clouds start creeping back into the area. Winds will return from the south but we will stay dry.
Tomorrow we will see rain chances return into the forecast beginning tomorrow morning and lasting through the remainder of the day. Chances will remain low, around 30%, with the chance for a spotty shower or two but nothing widespread or heavy like early yesterday. Temperatures will be near 60° for the high with partly cloudy skies and winds from the southeast.
Beginning Saturday the rain will become more widespread, as we will likely see showers and storms last through the entire day and through the end of the weekend. Most spots across the ArkLaMiss are looking at at least another 1″-3″ through the weekend adding on to what we saw in the past 48 hours.
