(2/14/2019) Good Thursday morning and Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s been a pleasant start to the day with temperatures in the 40’s and 50’s as you step out the door with a few clouds. We’re going to be staying dry in today’s forecast with warmer temperatures and breezy winds. Highs will be in the lower 70’s this afternoon with partly cloudy skies. Expect winds to pick up later this morning and be between 15-20 mph through early afternoon with gusts exceeding 30 mph. There are no chances for rain in the forecast  today.

Overnight lows will drop down into the mid 50’s as clouds and southerly winds keep us mild. We will stay dry overnight, but low rain chances creep back into our forecast beginning tomorrow.

For Friday we will see temperatures hold steady, topping out near 70° during the afternoon. Expect more cloud cover with isolated showers through the morning and afternoon. Rain chances will be at 20%. Winds will be from the south, not as breezy as today.

Our forecast is still looking good for the Krewe of Janus Mardi Gras Parade. We’ll likely see some isolated showers through the morning but drying out in the afternoon and dry by the time the parade rolls at 6pm.
