(3/11/2019) Good Monday morning! It’s another cloudy and rainy start with rain chances in the forecast through the first half of the week. We’ll warm up into the upper 50’s-lower 60’s this afternoon with overcast skies and breezy winds from the northeast. Rain will pass through the ArkLaMiss through the morning and early afternoon before showers taper off later this afternoon. Accumulations should be around 0.25-0.5″ if you see the rain, nothing too heavy or severe.
Overnight the rain chances will stay low, only a spotty shower or two is possible as skies stay cloudy and lows dip into the lower 50’s. Winds will shift from the east.
Tomorrow we are going to lower the rain chances down to 10%, we should only see patchy drizzle through the day as skies remain cloudy with winds from the southeast. High temperatures will warm up into the upper 60’s for the high.
A passing cold front Wednesday afternoon and evening will bring showers and thunderstorms to the ArkLaMiss and a low-end threat for severe weather. For now, we’re only under a marginal risk for severe weather as damaging winds and maybe some small hail will be possible. Heavy rainfall will be a threat as well, most folks should receive around 1-3″ of rainfall through the next few days. We’ll continue to monitor this severe threat through the week. Dry, sunny, and cool weather returns for the end of the week and the weekend!
