(9/7/2018) Good Friday morning! It’s a warm and muggy start to the day with some showers falling in southern Arkansas. Those areas that saw the most rain yesterday are starting off with a drizzle, so take it slow on the roads and drive careful! Avoid any ponded up roads. For this afternoon, more showers and storms are expected to develop throughout the afternoon with our atmosphere rich with tropical moisture. Temperatures will be staying in the upper 80’s for a lot of us with mostly cloudy to overcast skies. Winds are going to be from the southwest. Severe potential with today’s storms are low, localized flash flooding will be the primary concern.
Overnight lows are going to drop down into the low to mid 70’s with a few lingering showers possible. It will be warm, muggy, with mostly cloudy skies.
Tomorrow is looking a lot like today! Rain chances are staying pretty consistent through the entire weekend with afternoon and evening showers and storms in the forecast for both days. Temperatures will stay a bit below normal for the highs, in the mid to upper 80’s thanks to the clouds and rain. Winds are going to be from the southwest.
