Weather Forecast- Friday, May 17th

(5/17/2019) Good Friday morning! It’s another mild start with temperatures in the mid 60’s as you leave the house. It’s getting humid but we still can enjoy some clear skies with plenty of sunshine. It’ll be warming up near 90° for the high temperature today with breezy winds from the south and just a few passing clouds later this afternoon. There is no chance for rain, but that returns tomorrow.

Overnight lows will fall into the mid to upper 60’s with increasing cloud cover.

Tomorrow we see showers, storms, and the threat for severe weather return. Most of the ArkLaMiss is under a slight risk, while areas further west will see the highest severe threat under an enhanced risk.

The good news is that by the time the strongest storms make it to us the sun will be going down and our atmosphere will be more stabilized than areas further west. Expect some isolated showers and storms to develop through lunchtime and the early afternoon. Severe potential will begin around 6-7 pm to our west and storms will continue to pass through all evening into the early morning hours on Sunday. Be sure to keep the weather in mind if you have plans tomorrow evening! Rain showers and storms will stick around through Sunday so keep the rain gear handy.
