Triple digits returned for parts of the ArkLaMiss today, and the warming trend will continue through the upcoming weekend with rain chances to follow.
A secondary cold front passed through the region early this morning, reinforcing an unseasonably dry air mass that has kept low humidity across the area for the past few days. While humidity values will stay low through tomorrow afternoon, it will be slightly higher than days prior.
Another cold front moves in this weekend, with an even stronger one waiting for early next week. For the weekend, temperatures will stay warm with humidity values increasing. Clouds and triple digit heat indices will be likely, with a few isolated showers.
Rain chances are expected to become more widespread early next week. Along with rainfall, cooler temperatures could extend through the first few days of the month of August with highs in the upper 80s.
