Evening forecast for Tuesday, June 12


Summertime thunderstorms will continue to highlight the forecast going into Father’s Day weekend, but better rain chances could loom for dad on Sunday.

Another day of afternoon storms across the region, with most of the activity isolated through the last few hours. However, overall moisture content has been of better quality over the last several days. The routine generally continues through the rest of the week.

By this weekend, a disturbance in the western Gulf will likely increase moisture further. The best rain chances of the next week appear to be Sunday, with some lingering rain chances into early next week.

Temperatures will generally stay in the low 90s for highs with lows generally in the low 70s through early next week.
