WEST MONROE, La. — (4/9/2019) Unseasonably warm temperatures continue across the region this afteroon, but a return to southerly winds will pave the way to even warmer air tomorrow.
Overnight, winds will shift later with southerly winds leading to mid 80s through the day tomorrow. A cold front will move into the ArkLaMiss Thursday afternoon and evening, triggering scattered showers and storms. Widespread rain is not likely with this front, but cooler temperatures will move in behind it.
Another strong storm system is expected this weekend. Depending on the track of smaller scale features in the environment, some severe storms are possible. Regardless, this system could bring another round of heavy rainfall. Cooler air moves in for Sunday with an aggressive warming trend early next week.
