Drier air will bring an end to the rain chances for a few days this weekend. In turn, temperatures will be on the rise for most of us, too.
An area of low pressure sprawling through the southeastern United States has brought showers and storms through much of the day. For us, the storms moved through before sunrise. That low will continue to weaken through the weekend, leaving us with a much weaker upper-level pattern.
Temperatures could climb into the mid 90s for some locations this weekend, but a return flow of moisture should incorporate isolated showers and storms back in the forecast early next week. By then, highs will fall back into the low 90s. Morning lows will generally stay close to 70°.
