Evening forecast for Thursday, July 26

A new cold front brings more prospects of clouds, cooler temperatures, and eventually rain to the ArkLaMiss over the coming days. Better rain chances are waiting for early next week.

Another weak front slides into the area tomorrow, prompting an increase in clouds through the daytime hours. A few isolated showers can’t be ruled out. Temperatures will stay warm, and humidity will climb through the day. In fact, heat indices could reach the triple digits by early afternoon for most of us.

Better rain chances await us early next week as a slow moving front drags across the southern U.S. Cooler temperatures are also expected to follow. By then, temperatures could drop back into the mid to upper 80s for highs for a few days early next week.
