Evening forecast for Thursday, January 24

Another cold front is moving through the ArkLaMiss tonight, setting the region up for another sub-freezing night before a warming trend begins for the rest of the weekend.

Noticeably cooler temperatures will continue across the area on Friday, but southwesterly winds should lead a warm up through the weekend. By Sunday into Monday, most spots will see high temperatures return to the low to mid 60s.

A very strong cold front moves into our area late Monday night, with light rain expected at the onset. Due to the strength of this cold air mass, a brief changeover to rain/snow or light snow will be possible by mid-morning Tuesday. Temperatures will remain at or above freezing, so any wintry precipitation will not be a major issue.

Cold air continues to hold on through the middle part of next week.
