Sunshine prevailed across the ArkLaMiss this afternoon, gracing us with one pleasant day before the clouds and rainfall move back into the forecast for the weekend.
The upper-level pattern over the central United States will allow another wave of moisture to pool out ahead of a slow-moving cold front. Showers, maybe a few storms, will be likely through most of the weekend. Periods of rain will be more likely, with rain totals in the 1-2″ range for most of the region.
A slightly cooler Monday should pave the way to unsettled weather with weaker disturbances through most of next week. High temperatures will be above normal through most of the week, with isolated showers possible almost daily.
