Showers and storms rocked the ArkLaMiss this morning, but quieter conditions are likely to settle in for the rest of the week.
A Pacific cold front triggered a tornado watch and a few tornado warnings this morning, but that front has moved quickly eastward. Cooler, drier air will continue to filter in through the rest of the week.
Overall, for late January, much of this week will be very quiet. Highs will range in the upper 50s to low 60s with minor fluctuations daily. Morning lows will be coolest for Wednesday and Thursday, with some locations flirting with the freezing mark nightly through much of the week.
Rain chances return with a new cold front this weekend, but the forecast remains unclear regarding any potential hazards for our region. We will continue to monitor that system, as it will have our next widespread rain chances going through Saturday.
