While other area schools are waiting for their next playoff game, the season has ended for the Briarfield girls basketball team.
This past weekend, the Lady Rebels were crowned Class A MAIS Champions!
Cherie Morara’s team defeated Riverdale, 47-39. The bunch ended with season with a 27-1 overall record.
This is the squad’s first championship since 1971.
