Former Southern basketball star, Bobby Phills, left a legacy, not just with his hometown of Baton Rouge and with the Jaguars, but also in the NBA as a member of the Charlotte Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers.
His son, Trey Phills (born in Baton Rouge as well), will play in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday against the LSU Tigers.
Trey talked about his father’s legacy and the memories he has of the Red Stick early in his life with Louisiana Geaux Nation on Wednesday morning.
