Geaux Nation

Springhill, La., native and former LSU star, Devin White, made history on Thursday night as the first LSU linebacker picked in the top 10 picks since 1989(Eric Hill – 10th overall).

The Butkus Award winner joins a Tampa Bay team that will now play the New Orleans Saints twice each year as part of the NFC South Division.

White led the Tigers, registering 156 combined total tackles in his sophomore and junior years.

It marks the 8th consecutive year an SEC linebacker has been chosen in the first round — 13 total SEC LB’s were drafted that high in that span(8 more than any other conference).

The Buccaneers will play in the Superdome on October 6th against the Who Dat.
