UPDATE: Monroe man arrested for Second Degree Murder in connection to shooting death of Demesha Hines

UPDATE: (8/7/19) MONROE, La. — Monroe Police have arrested 19-year-old Jaishadon Sullivan on one count of Second Degree Murder and one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder.

According to police, Sullivan is the suspect in the shooting death of Demesha Hines in the 700 block of South 7th Street on August 4, 2019.

Sullivan has been booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center. His bond has been set at $1,500,500.


UPDATE: (8/6/19) MONROE, La. — Monroe Police are now looking for a suspect accused in the Sunday night shooting on South 7th Street.

Police are asking for the publics help finding 19-year-old Jaishadon Sullivan.

Monroe Police say that Sullivan is wanted on 1 count of Second Degree Murder and 1 count of Attempted Second Degree Murder.

Sullivan should be considered armed and dangerous.

ORIGINAL (8/5/19): MONROE, La. — Monroe Police is investigating a shooting that took place Sunday night in the 700 block of South 7th street.

Officers say it happened around 7:30 p.m., they indicate that a black female was shot and taken to the hospital. Detectives report she is in critical condition.
