CAMDEN, Ark. (KTVE/KARD) — Lockheed Martin announced that they have produced and delivered the first modernized M270A2 Multiple Launch Rocket Systems, which supports the United States Army through 2050.

Aaron Huckaby, Camden Operations Site Director said, “We are known across our industry as having a first rate facility with people who put their hearts and souls in the products that we build to protect our service members. That work extends beyond just providing support to our military. That’s work that supports our local community here and businesses across the great state.”

The launcher is survivable, highly effective, mobile, and can integrate into the joint architecture needed on the battlefield now and in the future. On Tuesday, officials celebrated the completion and delivery of the M270A2 with a ceremony at the Lockheed Martin Camden Corporation.

The corporation plans to continue modernizing equipment for the U.S. Army for many years to come.
