Gonzales Police Department asking for public’s help locating 25-year-old suspect

GONZALES, La. (WVLA) – (5/17/19) 25-year-old Christopher Holland is wanted for attempted second degree murder, according to the Gonzales Police Department. 

Holland is from St. Gabriel and the incident in questions happened on April 20. 

GPD said, “at approximately 9:35 P.M. Christopher Holland went to the Juneau Inn located at 108 East Railroad Avenue in Gonzales.”

The victim in this case opened his door after a knock from Holland. 

According to the Gonzales Police Department,  “as the victim opened the door, Holland shot the victim in the neck and fled on foot.”

The shooting victim has recovered from the injuries he sustained on April 20. 

Holland’s residence is located at 5545 Andrews Ln. and GPD stated that the suspect has a prior arrest in 2015 involving these charges: 

  • Second degree murder
  • First degree murder
