Separated Brothers Reunite Nearly 16 Years Later

HOT SPRINGS, AR — Different families adopted them at birth and now, nearly 16 years later, two brothers met for the first time thanks to social media.

Tracey Gray, 21, posted a picture to Facebook of him holding a poster that explained he wanted to meet his biological brother. The picture was shared by thousands of people and broadcasted.

“12 hours after we posted a photo, I’m standing almost right where you are and I get a phone call,” said Gray.

It was his brother, Austin Boral’s mother on the phone.

“I stopped breathing for a few seconds because I thought, ‘this is it’,” said Leah Boral. “And there was never a doubt that this was it, I just knew!”

Boral asked Austin if he wanted to meet his older brother, he didn’t hesitate to say yes.

“I’ve always wanted to meet him. I didn’t know anyone else because I kept moving around. I just wanted to know where I was from,” Austin said.

The brothers were now apart of a bigger family tree and wanted to let other adopted people know they could find their roots also.

“Don’t give up. After almost 16 years, if it can happen in 12 hours, it could happen for anyone else,” Gray said.
