WEST MONROE — Scott Angelle is running to be Louisiana’ next Governor. On Wednesday he paid a visit to ‘ Louisiana Living’.
Angelle says government can’t be everything to everybody, but it should be about healthcare and higher education.
Angelle says the state also should look at the exemptions that are handed out. He cited CenturyLink as a good example of states giving companies incentives to remain and expand.
When asked about medicaid expansion, Angelle didn’t come out in support of it, but did cite Arkansas’ program as a model that’s worth looking into.
Angelle is one of three Republicans and one Democrat running in the 2015 Louisiana Governor’s race.
The election is set for October 24. If no candidate reaches 50% of the vote, a runoff election will be held on November 21.
