Three arrested after traveling the country to steal tools

BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA) – (4/19/19) 20- year old Dylan Mulder of Fort Lauderdale, FL, 21- year old Robert Deshawn Williams of Carrollton, GA and 21-year old Glenn Blakely of Fort Lauderdale, FL are accused stealing at least $140,000 worth of merchandise four other states.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office Armed Robbery and Burglary / Retail Theft Group were contacted by the Home Depot Organized Retail Theft Unit about a group traveling the country (Arizona, Ohio, Texas, Colorado) stealing Dewalt Flex Volt tools from Home Depots.

The trio entered Louisiana on 4/16/19 and EBRSO was notified that they were possibly headed for Baton Rouge. On 4/17/19 Detectives observed the suspects at the Highland Road Home Depot, where they committed several thefts and were apprehended.

Detectives are now working with numerous law enforcement agencies across the country so that the subjects can be prosecuted for all of their crimes.
