Oklahoma Man Arrested After Police Find Hidden Camera in Women’s Restroom at Restaurant

SALLISAW, Okla. (KNWA) – (4/19/19) A man from Sallisaw, Oklahoma was arrested on Tuesday, April 16 after police found a hidden camera in a Roma’s Italian Restaurant.

According to police, a customer was dining with his wife at the restaurant and tried to use the Wi-Fi. The customer logged into the Wi-Fi and stated he saw a camera pointed at a bathroom stall.

The customer sent his wife into the women’s restroom and the customer reported to seeing his wife on a live feed from the camera.

Sallisaw officers contacted management who assisted the officers in locating a hidden wireless Bluetooth camera in the air vent above a stall in the women’s restroom.

Moran-Carrera stated he had been an employee since it opened five to six years ago.

Investigators obtained written consent to search his residence. Officers and detectives went to the residence where a large amount of cellular devices, laptops, data storage devices and computer equipment were found.

A search warrant was then obtained and officers seized items of evidence, including another camera device, similar to the camera found initially by officers.

The case is still under investigation.
