(1/14/19) For the past two years Judy West keeps making the same plea, help find the man suspected of killing her daughter.
West’s eyes fill with tears just talking about her daughter, Lori Hannah. The 35-year-old, single mother was found murdered inside her Ward home in March 2017.
“Unless you’ve lost a child you don’t understand, you can’t,” West said. “You would think that maybe the pain would ease up, but it doesn’t for me it just gets worse.”
Investigators aren’t releasing many details, not even her family knows how Lori died. Authorities did name a suspect, Lori’s ex-fiance Brian Keith Freeman, who they say admitted the killing to his mother days before he went into hiding.
West says her daughter called off the engagement with Freeman a few days before she was killed.
“It just can’t happen that way, I couldn’t have lost her,” West said. “I just hate that he’s our there breathing the air that he took from my daughter. He shouldn’t be able to do that.”
The U.S. Marshals Service is leading the search for Freeman, but West says the worst part is waiting for answers.
“People are always like, ‘Well I saw him last week’ or ‘I saw him at the movies,'” she added. “There’s just that little bit of hope that maybe he’s going to get caught now, but it hasn’t happened.”
Investigators say Freeman had several distinct tattoos including: black stars on his elbow, the name ‘Kiwi’ on his left forearm, the name ‘Jackson’ on his right forearm, the names ‘Makayla’ and ‘Justin’ along with a moon and stars on his upper right arm.
A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Freeman’s capture.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals at (501) 324-6256.
