(2/20/19) A 18-year-old Thibodaux man is accused of demanding naked photos and threatening underage girls whom he contacted on a social media app, officials said.

Lane Levron was arrested Wednesday on charges of pornography involving juveniles, computer-aided solicitation for sexual purposes and cyber-bullying, according to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said Levron used multiple accounts with fake names on Snapchat to contact several girls, demanding they send nude photos to him. In some instances, detectives said the suspect threatened to expose other nude photos he claimed to have of the girls.

Levron also threatened to post one girl’s photos unless she agreed to meet him for sex, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Wednesday.

Detectives spoke with Levron Wednesday. He admitted to his involvement in the crimes and confirmed he used the usernames “Camthebeast31” and “Markoutlaw,” officials said.

Officials believe there might be additional victims.

Investigators are asking potential victims to contact detectives at 985-532-4335.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre said the investigation should be a reminder to parents to speak with their children about the dangers of social media and smartphone apps.

Levron was taken to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex.
