(KLFY) — (4/28/19) It’s something that most of us wouldn’t think twice about. How to get in and out of an airplane seat but some wounded and recovering veterans have to consider that.

Veterans will now be able to practice how to navigate those cramped and narrow seats.

It’s a team effort between Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System and United Airlines.

United donated a dozen seats and arranged them like they would be during an actual flight.

The seats will be used in rehab sessions at the V-A Medical Center in New Orleans so veterans can learn how to transfer from a wheelchair to an airplane seat.
