A local school broke ground on a new addition to the campus today!
A new field house will soon be under construction at Wossman High School.
The athletic field house project is a 16,000 square foot, 2 story facility.
It will include a host of features like 120 locker spaces, a weight room, therapy areas and an alumni event space.
Wossman Head Coach, Dean Smith, says he’s most excited for the students and players.
“Just so excited for the students to have something they can call their own. You know, things have been passed down from different generations, we’ve added on and fixed things up, but it’s really exciting for the kids to have a state of the art facility,” said Dean Smith.
The project cost was $3,000,000.
Construction is scheduled to start in January of 2017, with an estimated completion date of September. Just in time for the 2017 football season!
