Woman arrested at Monroe airport for drugs in her luggage

A woman flying into Monroe Regional Airport was caught with drugs in her luggage.
 
Metro Narcotics Agents arrested Makayla Ellis of Seattle, Washington Wednesday night after her flight landed at the airport.  
 
According to the arrest report detectives had gotten word that Ellis had drugs in her luggage.  
 
Ellis gave consent for agents to search her luggage where approximately two pounds of marijuana and a large quantity of Hydrocodone pills were found.
 
Ellis told agents that she knew that she was carrying drugs on the airplane.  
 
She has been charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession with Intent to Distribute Hydrocodone.
