Winnsboro man smokes synthetic marijuana, passes out for over 9 hours

A Winnsboro man has been arrested after passing out for over 9 hours after smoking synthetic marijuana in his vehicle.

Dalton Glass, 21 of Winnsboro, was arrested Saturday, November 25, 2017.

According to the arrest report, deputies responded to the Chevron station on Louisiana 139 for a man who was reportedly passed out in a vehicle for over nine hours. 

When deputies arrived, they saw the vehicle parked in front of the store and attempted to wake Glass multiple times. Glass did not respond until deputies opened the door.

Deputies saw a soda can with holes in it, which people use to smoke marijuana, an open whiskey bottle and knife to the right of the suspect. 

Deputies asked Glass to exit the vehicle. After telling Glass to get out over 5 times he finally exit. Deputies observed Glass had trouble standing and slurred speech. 

Glass told officers he arrived at the store and smoked synthetic marijuana with the soda can. Glass stated he had no clue how long he was at the store or what time deputies arrived. 

Due to his level of impairment, lack of ability to answer questions and paraphernalia in his possession, Glass was transported to Ouachita Correctional Center. 

Glass faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and disturbing the peace/drunkeness.

His bond was set at $700.

Glass bonded out on Sunday.
