UPDATE: Fire extinguisher inspection leads to man facing 10 counts of child porn

WEST MONROE, La. - UPDATE (10/15/18) According to our partners at The News-Star, a fire extinguisher inspection at a West Monroe apartment complex led to one man facing 10 counts of possession of child pornography. 

According to an arrest report for James Drew Taylor, age 53, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Blanchard Street Friday on a child porn complaint. 

The manager told officers fire extinguishers were being inspected and possible child pornography was located.

Officers were escorted into the apartment's living room where a computer with a rotating desktop background displayed pictures of child porn.

(10/13/18) West Monroe Police have arrested and charged a man accused of using child porn.

Just before 8:30 p.m. Friday October 12, 2018 authorities received a call concerning 53-year-old James Taylor of West Monroe.

Taylor was taken into custody around 8:30p.m. Friday night October 12, 2018 after a witness says they saw child porn on his computer.

Investigators brought a search warrant to his home and searched his computer where they found multiple sexual images of children.

Taylor is now charged with at least 10 counts of pornography involving juveniles.
Investigators say more charges could be pending.

So far no bond has been set.
