A West Monroe man is charged with holding a rape victim at gunpoint while he sexually assaulted him. According to a police report from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, 46 year old Frederick Dewayne Lewis raped another man at Lewis’ Bailey Street home.
Investigators say sometime before 5 p.m. on Thursday March 15, the victim was visiting Lewis when Lewis pulled out a small black handgun, and pointed it at the victim’s head. Deputies say Lewis told the victim to perform oral sex on him, which the victim did, all while Lewis was allegedly pointing the gun. Deputies say the victim stated Lewis began performing anal sex with him, and moments later, the victim escaped.
Investigators say the victim was able to tell them details about Lewis’ clothing, his address, the layout of the house, and intimate details of Lewis’ tattoos which couldn’t be seen unless Lewis was unclothed.
The victim then went to the hospital to get treated for his injuries.
Deputies went to Lewis house off Thomas Road, and they say he was still wearing the same clothing the victim described. Deputies say they also found a small plastic handgun lying on the floor, as well as a small clear bag of marijuana.
Investigators say Lewis admitted to seeing the victim around the same time as the rape, but denied the victim being inside his house. He also denied having sexually assaulted the victim, and denied ownership of the marijuana.
Lewis was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center charged with First Degree Rape, which is a felony, and drug possession. Lewis has a $75,750 bond.
