General Manager, Scot Albright, says he can’t contain his joy that Walk-Ons, has made its way to West Monroe.
“I’m excited; It’s a wonderful community and we’re so happy that we’re finally in this great city.”
Walk-Ons is one of several new restaurants in West Monroe. Golden Corral is right next door and just down the street on Thomas road, Arby’s and Panda Express are expected soon. White West Monroe mayor, Staci Albritton-Mitchell wasn’t available on camera today, she campaigned to bring new and different retail entities to the city.
“You’ve got the music, the TV’s; all of that mixed together makes us, in my opinion, the best place for anybody to show up and eat.”
Albright says the kitchen staff prides themselves on what dishes they serve.
“It fly’s off of the shelf; the Voodoo Shrimp. So what it is; we take our Jumbo Louisiana Shrimp; we butterfly it, stuff it with cream cheese and jalepeno. Wrap it in Applewood smoked bacon and we sautee that in our herb butter; we put that on top of our homemade corn grits, served with our sweet chili glaze as well.”
A lot of food, means plenty of staff to manage.
“We hired 235 people, plus managers. Hopefully we’ll maintain our sales and we keep that number as high as possible.”
In a region that loves sports, they say they know the key to success.
“You have to support each other, you have to be a team. That’s what Walk-Ons is all about; you’re a team player.”
