Voith employee dies after being crushed by 45,000 pound paper roller

(4/14/18) — West Monroe Police confirm that 43-year-old Toby Ray died after being crushed by paper roller. 

Police said they received a call about a traumatic injury around 6:50 a.m. Saturday morning at Voith.

Officials report that Ray was securing a 45,000 pound roller when it fell on him and crushed him.

They do not suspect any foul play and all evidence has now been submitted to the coroners office.
