UPDATE (4/29) : The LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office has booked two suspects this morning in the homicide case that has resulted from Monday’s report of two missing individuals in Tullos, La.
Austin Dyess, an 18 year old white male, and Joshua Sant, a 26 year old white male, were both charged with 2 counts of second degree murder, and criminal conspiracy to commit second degree murder, in the death of Chelsey Copling and Demond Garner.

Yesterday around noon, LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office Detectives were led by tips to a wooded area South of Tullos. The bodies of the two missing individuals were found to be victims of an apparent homicide. Two suspects were identified in the case and were taken into custody later the same evening. Both suspects are being held in the LaSalle Parish Jail awaiting formal charges.

The two people that were reported missing from LaSalle Parish on Monday, Chelsey Copling and Demond Garner, have been located. We have suspects in custody at this time and the investigation is ongoing. More details will be released as they become available.
The LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Tullos Police Department are seeking two individuals reported missing yesterday afternoon.
Chelsey Copling, a 19 year old white female, and Demond Garner, a 26 year old black male, left a Tullos residence on foot sometime on Sunday night with an unknown destination.
