UPDATE: Second man charged with Attempted Murder outside of the Monroe Target

UPDATE (5/21/18): A second suspect has been arrested after being accused of initiating the fight that lead to the shooting at Target over the weekend.

Diamaleque Miller, 22 of Houston, Texas, has been arrested for attempted second degree murder.

According to Miller’s arrest report, Miller was arrested on May 20, 2018 at 3109 Highway 165 Bypass in reference to a fight he initiated at Target located at 4103 Pecanland Mall Drive in Monroe.

Miller was named inside the black Nissan Altima, suspect vehicle, which followed the victim and shot several times with one shot hitting the victim’s vehicle.

Miller has been booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on one count simple battery, one count disturbing the peace and one count attempted second degree murder.

His bond has been set at $700.00.

JeQuinton Bolton, 29 of Houston, Texas, was also arrested in the incident.

Bolton is also charged with attempted second degree murder, simple battery and disturbing the peace.


(5/19/2018) Monroe Police say they were called around 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon to 4103 Pecanland Mall Drive, which comes up Target with online address searches. The 911 call was about a disturbance outside of the store.

When they arrived they found a man who says he was leaving the area, when he heard several shots fired behind him, and then saw a man following him. Police say that man is 29 year old JeQuinton Bolton.

Police say one shot appears to have hit the victim’s car door. Bolton surrendered to police, and told them he did fight with the victim, but no gun was involved. 

Bolton is charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, Simple Battery, and Disturbing the Peace.
