(11/27/2017) A quiet evening at a Motel 6, interrupted by gunshots.
Robbie Greathouse was staying across the street at the Stratford House Inn when he heard the news and went to go check on his friend who’s also his co-worker.
“When I walk into the front doors there’s blood all over the floors in Motel 6 and they said somebody had been shot,” he said.
Witnesses say a motel guest walked into the lobby bleeding from his chest and crying for help.
Greathouse spoke to two friends of the victim.
“They just said that some black guy walked up to him told him to give him all of his money and he wouldn’t give him no money so he shot him,” Greathouse said.
One of the motel’s employees says he heard three gunshots somewhere between rooms 137 and 147.
He also tells us that he’s certain police are looking for more than one suspect.
A sudden turn of events that has people in the area feeling uneasy.
“It could’ve been me or my wife easily,” Greathouse said.
Now while police try to find the ones responsible, the victim is in the hospital, leaving some looking over their shoulders.
“Just watch your surroundings and watch what you’re doing because anything can happen at any point and time,” Greathouse said.
