UPDATE: Body of missing Monroe woman recovered in Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE: (9/28/18) The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s office dive team has recovered the body of a missing Monroe woman.

According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page, the Marine Division Dive Team located the body of Debra Kay Hughes. 

It was recovered on the south side of the I-210 bridge around 3 PM this afternoon.

CPSO Detective Keeba Barber is the lead investigator on this case.


ORIGINAL:  (9/27/18) Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s office is seeking information regarding the disappearance of a Monroe woman.

Deputies found Debra Kay Hughes Volkswagen Tiguan stopped on top of a bridge on I-210.  it was unoccupied. Family members told authorities they last spoke with the 58-year old on September 25th.

Due to the possibility Hughes may have jumped off of the bridge, the CPSO Marine Division has been diving and patrolling the area since Tuesday night.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is requesting if anyone has any information related to the possible whereabouts of Hughes, please contact the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-491-3605.
