UPDATE (5/17/18): The Caddo Parish Coroner’s office has released the name of an infant girl who died after she was left in a vehicle for several hours Tuesday, May 15, 2018.
The decedent is Addyson Blackburn, just shy of seven months old, of Shreveport. She was taken to the Willis-Knighton South emergency room by EMS just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service offices in Shreveport, the high temperature Tuesday was 91 degrees, registered just after 3 p.m., and the day’s low temperature was 70 degrees, registered at 11:58 a.m.
An autopsy has been ordered. The incident remains under investigation.
(5/17/18): On Tuesday morning, a Shreveport father was supposed to drop his daughter off before heading to work at 11 a.m.
He didn’t realize until around 5:30 p.m. that his 7-month-old daughter had been In the car the whole time he was at work.
Police and fire officials were called to the 6700 block of Woolworth Road, but the girl was already dead.
No charges have been filed in this case as of yet.
The incident still remains under investigation.
The coroners office has not yet released the names of the Father nor his daughter.
