(06/06/19) A man is dead and another is injured after a shooting happened in late Wednesday afternoon. According to deputies at the Union County Sheriff’s Office, two men were shot in Urbana, east of El Dorado.

Brandon Parker, 26, was shot but was able to drive to a nearby family member’s home. He and the other victim, Randy Miller, were driven to a ProMed ambulance substation on Highway 82 Eas then transported to the Medical Center of South Arkansas.

Parker died from his wounds while Miller was treated and released for a non-life threatening injury.

“Why would anyone do that to someone that has a family,” said Jovan Aubrey, the victim’s nephew.

After interviewing Miller, deputies arrested Tristen Dakota Waller, 19, and a 17-year-old juvenile. Both are being charged with capital murder and attempted capital murder.

Despite the arrests, Parker’s family say they still remain in shock.

“I wouldn’t think of my own family member going up the street like he usually does and getting shot on his turf,” said Joseph Aubrey, another nephew of the victim.

The two suspects will appear in court Friday June 7. The prosecutor intends to charge the juvenile as an adult.
