They’re after me lucky… beer? Virginia brewery makes ‘Lucky Charms’ flavored IPA

Local News

(2/26/19) Pink hearts, yellow moons, orange stars, and green…. hops?

A new beer from a Virginia brewery evokes ‘Lucky the Leprechaun’s’ chant and that’s by design.

Smartmouth Brewing Company even markets the “Saturday Morning” brew by calling it “magically ridiculous.”

Much like the oat cereal the beer mimics, the IPA is sweetened with marshmallows. Don’t worry, they won’t be floating in your glass.

Marshmallows, both toasted and the bulk dehydrated kind, are used during the brewing process.

If you want to give “Saturday Morning” a try, you’ll have to to make your way to Virginia.

It is being distributed to limited restaurants and specialty bottle shops.
