The “Street Beast” Auto Show Comes to the Ike

Local News

The “Street Beast” was unleased today at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. Suped-up cars from all over Louisiana and show cars from Texas and other states came to compete at the auto show. Giant trophies, cash prizes and bragging rights go the to winners in categories such as “Best of Show.”

According to many participants and attendees, the cars to beat a Viper a Mustang parked up front and next to each other with a gigantic trophy in front of the viper from a previous competition.

Although the Viper seams to be the odds-on favorite, Dodge Challenger owner Payton Fuller and his 2-yr-old son have a bright green custom designed car called “Chaos” that they think could give the Viper a run for its money–at least when it comes to power.

“The motor has 700 horse power but with the work that’s been done its more like 750 horses. And the ride? Well, let’s just say it rides really good at high speed.”

Payton says his car “Chaos” is new on the scene but he thinks Dodge Challengers have a solid reputation at auto shows like this one and could beat the beasts in this competition.
