(03/14/19) After more than three months, Arkansas State Police have arrested a man for the murder in Ashley County Christmas Day.

Damian Davis, 25, of Hamburg was arrested and charged with first degree murder in connection with the killing of 33-year old Todd Martin. Davis was also charged with felon in possession of a firearm.

“Everyday I have to wake up in the morning and give myself a pep talk to try to get myslf back on  track,” said Larry Martin, the victim’s father.

His son was shot and killed while driving away from a relatives home early Christmas morning. The past few months have been heartbreaking for the family and not even a small break in the case will help patch up the pieces.

“Even though my son is still gone the hurt is still there,” said Martin.

Davis is currently being held at the Ashley County Detention Center. Hamburg Police Chief Johnny Oliver says more will be joining him.

“We have strong faith in God that everybody involved will be captured and justice will be served,” said Shun Brown, the victim’s cousin.

Bond was set at $250,000.
