State officials looking for better ways to battle floods, comes to Monroe for input

(9/25/18) Louisiana is looking for better ways to battle floods, and to prevent them statewide.

The Council on Watershed Management took part in today’s meeting in Monroe, alongside the Restore LA Task Force.

Members heard presentations from Ouachita Strong, the group that formed after the floods in 2016.

The council has representatives from the Department of Transportation and Development and the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.
