START, La. (4/16/19)– After nearly two months on the run, Richland Parish Police have captured 46-year-old Derrick Terrell Banks, the man suspected of robbing the Start In-N-Out Mart on February 23.

Banks is accused of armed robbery for allegedly sticking up the shop, located on LA Highway 133 and I-20.

RPSO determined that Banks was not in Richland Parish or the surrounding area. RPSO with the help of Louisiana State Police Criminal Intelligence Unit-Monroe began conducting interviews throughout northeast Louisiana and Texas.

Both agencies were able to determine that Banks was located in the Houma area of south Louisiana.

Banks was arrested at approximately 1:30 pm Tuesday on the outstanding warrant for the armed robbery arrest while he was fishing in the Houma area.

RPSO deputies will transport Banks back to Richland Parish where he will be booked into Richland Parish Detention Center for Armed Robbery.
