South Arkansas Children’s Coalition holds open house to show how they can help child abuse victims

(4/29/19) EL DORADO, Ar. — South Arkansas has professionals standing by, ready to stop child abuse and help treat the victims of it.

The South Arkansas Children’s Coalition held an open house as part of Child Abuse Prevention Awareness month.

Representatives gave tours to residents and briefed them on the services that they provide.

The Children’s Advocacy Center provides direct services to child victims and their families — including trauma-focused therapy, forensic interviews, and medical exams.

“It is important for the community to become aware and be educated on the abuse and the effects of it so they will then know what to do and how to help on the other side,” said Executive Director Robin Krneta, of the South Arkansas Children’s Coalition.

If you’re interested in a tour or want to learn more about the services the Children’s Coalition provides, you can call their office at (870)-862-2272.
